Resident evil 2 remake Download PC Game

Resident Evil 2 Remake earned positive reviews and praises for its gameplay, presentation, storyline, and consistency with its preceding sequels. The game was positively received by critics and gamers around the world. Resident Evil 2 Remake deservingly earned the Game of the Year award, apart from many other awards and titles. By the end of the next year, there were 7.5 million copies of the game sold worldwide. The remake surprisingly outsold the original Resident Evil 2 game.

At the 2018 game critics awards, Resident Evil2 the remake was given the best of show award. It earned universal acclamation for its Xbox One and PlayStation Version and favourable reviews for the PC version.

The remake is set in the backdrop of Raccoon city. The story takes place in the year 1998, in September when the inhabitants of the city turned into mindless zombies. This unfortunate incident occurred due to an outbreak of a viral bioweapon called the T- virus, developed by Umbrella Corporation. The game starts at a gas station outside Raccoon city, where a rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy meets a college student Claire Redfield, who is in search of her lost brother Chris.

As we already told, Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the 1998 Resident Evil 2 video game. Unlike its original series, the remake incorporates new elements in its gameplay like tank control, unchangeable camera angles, a third person over shoulder narrative, which can also be found in its succeeding sequels.

In the remake version of Resident Evil 2, players get an option to enter the game as either Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfield. She is the sister of the original protagonist of this series, Chris Redfield. Depending on the choice of character, the game will proceed differently with differences in subplots, obtainable items, accessible areas and powers, weapons, and the ultimate battle against the zombies. The game offers two different plots, the Leon scenario, and the Claire scenario respectively. Similar to the original sequel, the game offers a supporting playable character for one portion of the game.

Developers have done a brilliant job by bringing together the best aspects of the Resident Evil 2 series and rebuilding it into a better version in the remake. According to gamers and critics, zombie combat is extremely fulfilling and satisfying, and exploring the ruins of the Raccoon city is a thrill.

Resident Evil 2[a] is a 2019 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. A remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2, it was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in January 2019 and for Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in June 2022, and a Nintendo Switch cloud version released in November 2022. Players control the rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and the college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape Raccoon City during a zombie uprising.

Capcom considered remaking Resident Evil 2 following the release of the remake of the first Resident Evil in 2002. It was delayed as the producer, Shinji Mikami, did not want to divert development from Resident Evil 4 (2005). Capcom announced the Resident Evil 2 remake in August 2015 and released the first trailer and gameplay footage at E3 2018.

Resident Evil 2 received praise for its presentation, gameplay, and faithfulness to the original. It received numerous awards, including winning Ultimate Game of the Year at the 2019 Golden Joystick Awards. By 2023, it had sold more than 11 million copies, outselling the original Resident Evil 2. It was followed by remakes of Resident Evil 3 in 2020 and Resident Evil 4 in 2023.

Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2 for PlayStation. Unlike the original, which uses tank controls and fixed camera angles, the remake features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4 and more recent games in the series that allows players the option to move while using their weapons similar to Resident Evil 6.[1]

As with the 1998 game, the remake of Resident Evil 2 offers the option to play through the main campaign as either Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer on his first day, or Claire Redfield, a college student and sister of original protagonist Chris. Depending on the player's choice, the main story will be experienced with variations in subplots, accessible areas, obtainable items, weapons, and the final boss battle. Also like the original, both campaigns feature a supporting character who becomes playable for one section of the game. Players control the mysterious Ada Wong in Leon's story, whose segment involves hacking electronic devices, and young girl Sherry Birkin in Claire's story, whose segment centers around stealth.

The remake brings back "The 4th Survivor" and "The Tofu Survivor" minigames present in the 1998 original, which are unlocked after completing the 2nd Run mode. "The 4th Survivor" follows Umbrella Corporation operative Hunk and requires players to travel from the sewers to the outside of the police department while facing a large number of enemies. "The Tofu Survivor" features the same scenario, but replaces Hunk with an anthropomorphic tofu armed only with knives. The remake's version of "The Tofu Survivor" also adds the unlockable characters Konjac, Uirō-Mochi, Flan, and Annin Tofu, who all have a unique item loadout.

The original Resident Evil 2 was released for the PlayStation in 1998. Following the release of the 2002 remake of the first Resident Evil for the GameCube,[14][15][16] Capcom considered a similar remake of Resident Evil 2, but series creator Shinji Mikami did not want to divert development away from Resident Evil 4.[17] In August 2015, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi announced in a video that the remake had been approved and was in active development, ending the video with the phrase "We Do It".[18] No further details were released until Sony's E3 2018 press conference, when Capcom released the debut trailer and gameplay footage and removed "Remake" from the title.[19][20] Hideki Kamiya, director of the original Resident Evil 2, said that he had pushed Capcom to create a remake for years.[21] Hirabayashi said the team was striving to capture the spirit of the original game, and that the team incorporated feedback received about Resident Evil 6, a game he also produced.[22]

Resident Evil 2 received acclaim for its atmosphere, setting, graphics, audio, scenarios, overall gameplay, and its improvements over the original game, but with some criticism towards its controls, voice acting, and certain gameplay elements. It is widely listed among the best video games ever made. It is the best-selling Resident Evil game for a single platform at more than 6 million copies sold across all platforms. It was ported to Windows, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and GameCube, and a modified 2.5D version was released for the Game.com handheld. The story of Resident Evil 2 was retold and built upon in several later games, and has been adapted into a variety of licensed works. It was followed by Resident Evil 3: Nemesis in 1999. A remake was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in 2019.

Resident Evil 2 has been held in high regard in the years following its initial release, and was named the fourth best game on the PlayStation by Famitsu.[161] It is listed as one of the 100 best games of all time by Electronic Gaming Monthly (62nd), IGN (58th), Empire (49th), Game Informer (34th), and Official UK PlayStation Magazine (6th).[a] Readers of Retro Gamer voted Resident Evil 2 the 97th top retro game, and the staff wrote it was "considered by many to be the best in the long-running series".[162] GameTrailers ranked it fourth on a list of the games that most needed remakes.[163]

The mobile game Resident Evil: Uprising contains a condensed version of the Resident Evil 2 story, adapted by Megan Swaine.[172][173] Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, an on-rails shooter released for the Wii in 2009, includes a scenario named "Memories of a Lost City", which reimagines the original Resident Evil 2 plot while retaining key scenes from the game's four scenarios.[174] In 2008, Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, who had previously worked on the series as weapons designer and graphics animator, alluded to the possibility of a full-fledged remake.[175][176][177] Such a project had already been considered for the GameCube in 2002, but Mikami abandoned the idea as he did not want to delay the in-development Resident Evil 4.[178]

In August 2015, Capcom announced that a remake of Resident Evil 2 was in development.[187] Capcom unveiled the game at E3 2018, with trailers and gameplay footage, and a worldwide release date of January 25, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.[188][189] The game uses the RE Engine, which is also in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,[190] and replaces the tank controls and fixed camera angles with "over-the-shoulder" gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4.[191]

Capcom retained the setting, characters, and basic story of the original, but the publisher also incorporated elements from other games in the series. Resident Evil 2 uses the same RE Engine that powered the atmospheric and beautiful Resident Evil 7. And like Resident Evil 4, this remake uses an over-the-shoulder camera perspective to put you closer to the action. 041b061a72
